A hard freeze for the Hill Country and our northern counties...freezing temps possible as far south as Laredo and Corpus.

Wrap those pets and bring in the pipes! Temperatures will drop quickly tonight under clear skies and dew points that are incredibly low for our part of the country! Dew points can indicate how low temperatures could fall under perfect conditions, but there will be be continued breezes overnight, so 20’s and teens are more likely. While I don’t own one, I’ve heard that a lot of you are very pleased with Freeze Misers for your outdoor faucets…if you have one, tonight would be a great night to use one! We warm up into the 50’s and 60’s on Sunday but with the dry air still in place, we could see more freezes on Monday morning as well.

Our next front arrives on Monday night and the thinking is that it will go stationary in south Texas on Tuesday. While the front and low pressure are to our south, a couple of disturbances will move through from Mexico on Tuesday and Wednesday, giving us a chance for some rain. At this time, the best odds will be along the coast and coastal plains, with very little falling from San Antonio, northward.
