Our fairly inactive front has moved to the east of San Antonio as of post time, it dropped some rain totals of around 1/4 of an inch for some of you and unfortunately, tiny to zero totals for most…my weather station in Helotes recorded 0.07. Such is not the case to our east, where a tornado watch has been issued until 7pm for most of SE Texas. Big storms are currently firing up along and ahead of the cool front.
We heat up into the low 80’s tomorrow ahead of the next front, due to arrive during the night, early Wednesday. You’ll certainly notice this one with winds gusting to 25mph out of the north on Wednesday and temperatures only reaching the 60’s. The winds die down Wednesday night and by Thanksgiving morning we will see a few freezes in the Hill Country and 40’s for the rest of us. Temperatures rebound into the 60’s and a few 70’s in the afternoon as our winds shift back into the SE. Milder weather for Friday through the weekend, with a chance for rain and then….
Well…the models are all over the place at the moment, but it does look likely that we will see some of the coldest air of the season arrive early next week. We may have highs not getting out of the 40’s and 50’s from Tuesday-Friday. If the Canadian model gets it right, snow could fall as far south as the Hill Country with lows in the 20’s. No need to raid your nearby HEB for toilet paper and distilled water yet, but it’s interesting to even see this as a possible scenario. I’ll keep you posted as always!
