Temperatures have rebounded into the 80’s today, ahead of our next cold front, which should arrive around midnight tonight. Batten down those hatches and trampolines tomorrow as our winds will be gusting out of the north to 30mph. Even under sunny skies, temperatures will stay in the 60’s for highs on Wednesday. By the afternoon, winds will wind down and temperatures will drop into the 30’s in the Hill Country and 40’s for the rest of us on Thanksgiving. By Thanksgiving afternoon, most of us will see highs in the 60’s and low 70’s.

By this weekend, a developing trough over the west will increase our odds for scattered showers and thunderstorms ahead of a strong cold front that will arrive early on Sunday morning. This is where things get interesting…there appears to be a chance we will see storms along the front and overriding cold rain once the front moves through. If so, we could see several days with lows in the 30’s and highs only in the 40’s next week. The Canadian model continues to bring down colder air than the other models and thinks we will see lows in the 20’s and highs only in the 30’s on Monday and Tuesday, along with some freezing rain! We certainly have something to keep our eyes on!
