With the exception of those of you under cloudy skies, most locations are in the 80’s with Laredo flirting with 90 degrees! It still looks like our strong front should move through on Sunday, hitting the northern counties around 8-9pm, San Antonio around 10-11pm and southern counties after midnight. There is a chance for some thunderstorms along the front, with the best odds being in south Texas. Even so, if you find a tenth of an inch of rain in your gauge, consider yourself lucky! If you are traveling in West Texas, be on the lookout for snow on Monday!
Wind and wind chills will be the main attraction for Monday morning with gusts now forecast over 40mph and possibly even a few hitting 50mph! Wind chills will be in the 20’s and 30’s for most areas as you head off to work in the morning. Temperatures will struggle to hit 50 during the day and will drop into the 30’s and 40’s by Tuesday morning. Another chilly day on Tuesday with highs again in the upper 40’s and 50’s, depending on if the clouds break. We could see quite a few freezes in the Hill Country on Wednesday morning and possibly into south Texas if the clouds clear out.
Warmer weather returns by the end of next week with highs bouncing back into the upper 60’s and 70’s by New Years. As of today, the weather should be perfect for watching fireworks at midnight, with temperatures mainly in the 40’s and zero odds for rain.
