Well, the upper-level low did bring widespread rain to our area, even if the totals were wimpy! As forecast, most of you were lucky to find over a tenth of an inch of light rain in your gauge, while most of us only found a few one hundredths. My weather station in Helotes recorded 0.05, which seemed close to what I’ve seen today for an average. The low is still moving through our state, but has brought in a dry slot of air from the west, so rain chances have now dropped to zero.

A wimpy dry front arrives tomorrow, followed by a seasonal front on Friday. The Hill Country and some rural areas may flirt with a freeze this weekend, but highs will warm up into the 60’s. As a reminder, 40’s should be our lows and highs should be in the 60’s for this time of the year.

The latest CPC outlooks line up well with what I’m seeing in the latest model runs, with better rain odds moving into the picture by the 20th and continuing through the end of the month. Still no sign of a definite big rainmaker though.
