You know it’s dry when you devote your post to a wimpy upper-level low that may drop a few tenths of an inch of rain for a lucky few and a few hundredths of an inch for the rest of you! There are already some showers showing up on radar this afternoon in south Texas as the low moves closer from Mexico. Look for more light rain to form over the next 12 hours as the low moves into Texas. The best odds for rain will be tonight and early tomorrow morning.

As that system exits, the first of two dry fronts moves through on Wednesday, followed by a stronger dry front on Friday. Temperatures will stay close to seasonal norms with lows in the 40’s and highs in the 60’s, except for Wednesday before the front arrives when highs will make it into the 70’s.

The models continue to look slightly bullish for at least a chance for rain during the last week of January.

Today marks the 41st anniversary of the Great Snow Event of 1985! If you have any photos of what your were doing during the fun three days of snow, feel free to post them below….assuming you were born yet!
