A dying front will move into our area Tuesday night, giving us a chance for some scattered storms through Thursday and lowering our temperatures closer to seasonal levels. Looking over the latest model runs, most of us could see between 1/4 of an inch to over 2 inches for the rain lottery winners! Meanwhile, look for hot and humid days through Tuesday, with continued slight chances for sea breeze pm poppers along the coast and in far south Texas.

The NWS sums up our longer range outlook that sounds promising: “Beyond Friday, things could get interesting with regard to the possibility of a Pacific storm developing late next weekend, a trough moving into the Four Corners, and abundant moisture ahead of another frontal boundary moving into the region from the northwest. A more active pattern may develop, one that we've seen in the past during the month of October with decaying tropical systems moving inland and getting pulled in by an approaching trough.”
