Nice to see a few more random sea breeze storms again today. These cells are making a little further progress to the north, so any of you south of HWY 90 may turn into rain lottery winners this afternoon. Look for more of the same through Wednesday along with a ramping up of temperatures, with some of you hitting over 100 degrees on Tuesday!
Calling it a cool front seems a little strange, when we may only see our highs drop from the upper 90’s to to the low 90’s, so I’m going with a “Less Hot Front!” Our less hot front should arrive on Wednesday, giving us all a decent chance for scattered storms on Wednesday and Thursday. I’m sticking with my forecast that most of us will see 1/4 to 2 inches from this front…I know that’s quite a range, but with scattered storms it will all be about location, location, location! I’m currently rooting for the NBM model which has a broader distribution of rainfall.
Looking further down the line, I’m still going with what the NWS is thinking…”Beyond this forecast period, increased moisture from the Pacific and a deepening trough over the west will result in a more active pattern for late September and early October.”
