OK…the NWS just sent over a lengthy update on our upcoming arctic front and I have it for you below in the graphics. A couple of quick comments from me: A slight chance for some light rain over the next 24hrs, but rain totals and odds have almost dropped to zero. Everything this weekend depends on timing…the rain will begin Friday afternoon and last through Saturday night. The quicker the cold air arrives, the more ice we will be dealing with…the slower the cold air arrives the better odds we will just see cold rain and a little ice. Obviously our northern counties have the highest odds of dealing with ice. For you snow lovers (including me), unless things change, the upper level temperatures will not be cold enough for snow to form for most of our area…the best odds for some light snow will be our higher elevation Hill Country locations. If you want to see snow, head to north Texas!
