24hrs ago the models were taking this low into Mississippi or Louisiana, but now there is a chance that Tropical Depression Two, may move into East Texas by the end of the week. If it goes “poof” in east Texas, then our rain odds remain almost zero, but if it were to move more westward, things could change. Here’s what our NWS has to say in their latest update: “ We’ll be keeping an eye on the tropics over the next few days as Tropical Depression 2, currently centered over the northeastern Gulf, translates westward toward the mid/upper Texas Coast. Isolated showers cannot be ruled out, mainly along and east of the I-35 corridor, as moisture content increases Thursday and Friday. There remains uncertainty on the exact track and evolution of this system as it tracks westward, and it is too early to determine what, if any, impacts may occur across South Central Texas late this week and into the weekend. Continue to check back for updates and have trusted sources of information.”
