Here we go! A disturbance is currently over the NW Gulf and sending some PM Poppers into our area from the south…activity is moving north. We should see greater storm coverage on Saturday, then a slight lull in activity on Sunday and Monday. By Monday night a rare July front and associated low pressure will take a dive into Texas, giving us our best chance for rain Monday night through Tuesday. We could see orange rain from this system as a plume of Saharan dust is forecast to arrive around the same time! Continued chances for scattered storms on Wednesday and Thursday, then high pressure moves back into Texas and we go back to our typical hot and humid summer pattern.
