With the short-term not looking good as far as rain odds go, I decided to check out some of the long-range model runs to see if there are any signs of rain relief. As always, take these model runs with a grain of salt and a shot of Tequila! All three of the models (posted below) give me a slight sense of some hope toward the middle to late part of the month. While rain odds may increase, I see little change in our above normal temperatures during that time period. I was reading this post today from Severe Weather Europe: A Strong Anomaly Grows in the North Pacific Ocean, hinting at a Colder Winter 2025/2026 » Severe Weather Europe and because of extremely warm temperatures in the northern Pacific, they think it could lead to a colder than normal winter for us…it will be interesting to see if this eventually verifies!
There are a couple of new items of interest in the Atlantic right now, but no indications that they will impact our weather in Texas.

We have a lot of dry air (yellow) in the mid-levels of the atmosphere right now...no surprise!
