Depending on where you live, September was not too bad, rain wise. Counties in the Hill Country and south Texas, did OK, but if you live NE of San Antonio and in most of the coastal plains, you saw way below normal rainfall for the month. As I mentioned yesterday, if you are hoping for major rain event for October, so far, the models are not looking promising. Below are the latest September rainfall totals and drought updates. One note of interest is that a good percentage of the USA is in drought right now.
Over the next week, look for mostly the same, with above normal temperatures and below normal rainfall. Rain odds bump up slightly next week, but mainly along the coast. As of post time, I still don’t see a major front on the horizon.
