Don’t break out the jackets yet, but we could see two fronts slipping into Texas this week, enhancing our rain odds on Tuesday-Wednesday, then again this weekend. Unfortunately, the cooler air will likely stay in north Texas, but the latest model runs are forecasting highs in the upper 80’s and low 90’s for most of south-central and south Texas on Labor Day, which is certainly better than 100’s! Lows could drop into the 60's on Monday. Storms will be scattered, so overall coverage is not looking great as of post time. Rainfall totals look to be from 1/10 to 1/2 an inch for most spots.

99L will be entering the Caribbean this week and now has a 40% chance of becoming a depression as it does so. The NHC is sending out a reconnaissance aircraft later this afternoon to check it out. The latest spaghetti models are mainly taking the low into Central America, but a couple are moving it into the Gulf. I’ll continue to watch this and keep you guys posted!
