While some of our SE and Eastern counties may see some decent rainfall totals from Tropical Depression 5, most of us will only see hot and dry weather as the low pressure makes a quick turn to the NW as it moves into Texas tomorrow afternoon. This could have been a perfect minimal tropical system to dump a lot of rain on us if it had continued to track west. The latest updates are below.
From the NWS: “There are new opportunities for rain on Thursday through Saturday as an upper level disturbance moves across the northern Gulf. Rain chances favoring the Coastal Plains along with sea breeze activity.” Still no cool fronts or decent rain events in sight.
