With nothing on the horizon in the tropics and high pressure over us, there isn’t much to talk about today. A plume of tropical moisture is fueling some pm poppers in the LRGV and far south Texas, but for the most part, most of us are rain free. As we head into next week there could be an uptick in coastal poppers that might make it as far inland as the coastal plains, but for south-central Texas, only a few wildly scattered storms. Some of the models continue to show an increase in storm activity the last few days of June…I’m hoping those models verify. At this point we will be looking for the tropics to bring us any rain relief.
