Let’s try again…

Greetings from Page, AZ, home of Lake Powell and Antelope Canyon! My posts will be a bit on the irregular side for the next few days as we travel to visit our daughter in Las Vegas, where it’s easy to get distracted!

Today’s models blew it again with almost zero activity anywhere in our area. Fortunately, some of you in south Texas recorded some rain yesterday afternoon and evening. A stationary front and a low pressure will be the potential spark for some storms tomorrow through early Friday morning for south Texas, with a tiny chance some of those storms might graze the southern counties of south-central Texas. By Friday, our evil high pressure starts building into Texas, putting the Kabash on our rain chances for at least 7-10 days. Long-range models are looking at least slightly bullish for rain moving back into our forecast by the third week of the month.

Enjoy the pleasant temperatures this weekend as northerly breezes keep us in the 50’s and 60’s for lows and highs in the low 80’s. Our first major heatwave slaps us around by the middle of next week with high temperatures reaching the upper 90’s and low 100’s!
