While there are still a few storms in our eastern counties, for the most part, today's rain event is wrapping up. Our morning storms turned out to be mostly non-severe, but there were reports of one inch hail near Castroville. A line of storms tried to get going this morning, but once again, this turned into another scattered storm event, with some areas getting very little and others 2-5 inches!
While there is still a chance for scattered storms in south-central Texas over the next couple of days, the best odds shift southward as a soon to be stationary front will increase rain odds for that area.
After Friday, rain odds take a vacation for at least a week to ten days.
In case you are wondering why the skies are so hazy and our air quality is poor, you can blame the annual crop burning in Mexico and Central America. Fortunately, our winds will be shifting to the northeast by tomorrow, however, that will bring increased ground
level ozone!
How much rain did you get and where?
