After such a great rain last night, it’s hard to believe that we have another decent chance for storms again tonight! The latest models are forecasting a big batch of storms to form over Mexico and West Texas this evening, then heading east during the night. The timing on these storms is later than last night, with most areas not seeing rain until nearly midnight. Similar to last night, there will be severe storms dropping large hail, heavy rain and high wind gusts. Please tune to your local NOAA radio or emergency apps for local warnings.

While storms will be more scattered from Wednesday through Saturday, rain chances do not go poof! Even more interesting is that we could see an uptick in our rain odds by Saturday, when a Pacific tropical storm (could become Alvin) moves into Mexico, potentially sending moisture into our region via the jet-stream! I’ll continue to monitor this potential event…
