I’m so excited to see a pattern change as we flip our calendars (well, if not on paper, digitally!) to April! Not only do we have rain chances tomorrow evening and Thursday morning, but we get additional chances from Friday night through Monday. As if that’s not good enough, more rain is in the forecast for the second and third weeks of April.

Our first rainmaker is a trough that will impact the western states, then zoom across north Texas. This will produce a broken line of storms tomorrow afternoon in west Texas that will track to the SE overnight. While there could be a few severe storms, most of the threat and heavier rain will stay to our north. The next rainmaker will come over the weekend in the form of cold front that will slowly push through the state on Saturday, producing storms and showers along the front, then overriding rain as the front moves through. This system has the best chance of delivering 1-2 inches of rain for us by Monday.
