Thanks to our inverted trough, some of you are seeing some tropical poppers again today. While certainly not drought busting rain, a few of you have seen over a half an inch or rain in the past 24hrs and looking at the latest radar, a few location may see more this afternoon. Some of the storms have moved as far north as San Antonio and Luling. The trough will continue to move into Mexico this afternoon and by tomorrow any activity will be very scattered.

Look for hot and humid weather this upcoming week with low to no chances for rain through the workweek. We could see an uptick in precipitation by late Friday into the weekend as yet another inverted trough moves into the Gulf. As of post time, this looks very similar to our current system, with most of the rain staying along the upper coast and Gulf.

I noticed that the latest Farmer’s Almanac forecast for the fall has been released: Fall Weather Forecast 2025 | The Old Farmer's Almanac. Unfortunately, they and the NWS are predicting warmer than average temperatures. For precipitation, the NWS is predicting equal odds for average or below average precipitation and the Farmer’s is predicting below normal precipitation.

If you have lucked out and found some rain in your gauge today or yesterday, please let us know where and how much!

Weather proverb of the day:

An evening red and a morning gray,
Will send the traveler on his way;
But an evening gray and a morning red,
Put on your hat, or you'll wet your head!
