More rain fell overnight, with some spots south of HWY 90 and I-10 getting in on the act, but unfortunately, the rain stayed mostly north of that area. The front is now south of San Antonio and as of post time, not generating any storms along it. Later this afternoon and evening, the front will stall in south Texas and some of the latest models are forecasting scattered storms to form along the boundary, hopefully dropping some 1/4 to 1/2 inch rain for those of you in the coastal plains and in SW counties. Rain chances continue in south Texas tomorrow, then a lull in the action before our stronger front starts pushing through the state on Sunday. The latest model runs are once again keeping most of the heavier rain in our northern counties as the front moves through our area on Monday.

On a positive note, this front will be strong enough to drop our lows into the 40’s and 50’s next week with highs in the 60’s…We may not need to turn on the A/C for Thanksgiving! There continues to be a chance for some arctic air to arrive around Dec. 2nd and the latest CPC outlook reflects that potential cool down in the 8-14 day outlook, along with continued rain chances.
