Live from New York, it’s the Sunday afternoon update, featuring Mark Langford and his famous weather models! While I’m not so famous, our nephew who landed the role of Christian in Moulin Rouge on Broadway a couple of months ago is becoming so! We are here for a few days to see his show and do the typical New York tourist things.

Our weather in Texas remains too dry and too warm, with little chances for improvement over the next week to 10 days. A couple of the models think we could see a decent front around the 20th, but we will see how that goes over the next week as they make their hourly changes. For this week, the upper low over the northern Gulf that has given the coast a few showers, will eventually drift to the north, removing all chances for rain later in the week. A dying cool front will dive into Texas far enough to give us a tiny chance for rain on Wednesday, but looking at the latest model runs, I would not get my hopes up at all…more than likely, more of the same.

As far as the tropics go, the low in the Gulf has a zero chance of developing into a storm and the one in the Atlantic, will likely do the boomerang thing and eventually track to the NE.
