After touring the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island most of the day, it is nice to finally sit down at my hotel desk…especially when I opened up my radar site and saw quite a few small cells roaming across our area! While they are not very large and very scattered, some of you have seen 1/4 to a half an inch of rain today. Rain chances will continue this afternoon and again tomorrow, in response to a wimpy front that will eventually blow through on Thursday. Drier and slightly milder air will move in with the front, sending our lows into the 60’s through Monday and highs in the upper 80’s and low 90’s.

Tropical storm Jerry has formed over the Atlantic, but as we have been discussing over the past few days, is not a threat to the USA. A disturbance over the Bay of Campeche will move into Mexico over the next 48hrs, not impacting our weather at all.

The GFS continues to think we may see a decent front around the 20th with a chance for rain, but being almost two weeks out, I’m not getting my hopes up very much. The lates 8-14 day outlook from the CPC is forecasting more of the same.
