A great day out there with temperatures ranging from the upper 50’s in the north to the 70’s in south Texas. We will see our lows drop into the 30’s and 40’s tonight before we start a gradual warmup the rest of the week and into the weekend.
The models are still quite divided on our rain chances next week, but there will be a disturbance moving into our area from Mexico, giving us at least a chance for some rain late Monday through early Wednesday. Since we are still 5 days out, I’m hoping this disturbance strengthens more than the models are predicting as of today.
With the huge high that has been over the west for several months, moving east next week, we will at least see improved rain chances through the end of the month, but based on the latest CPC outlooks, the best odds will now shift to the west of us, instead of Texas. We can’t seem to catch a break!
I’ll be out of my office tomorrow, but will post the latest drought and rain info on Friday.
