It will feel like winter for the rest of the year, then turn warm again! Look for lows tomorrow to drop into the 30’s with freezes likely for those of you in the Hill Country and valleys in our rural areas…even in the northern counties of south Texas. With sunshine and a return to SW winds, we will warm into the 60’s on New Years Eve, before dropping quickly into the 40’s by midnight. By Friday, it’s back to spring again with highs in the upper 70’s and low 80’s. A wimpy, dry cool front pushes through on Saturday with little impact on our temperatures…70’s for highs will continue into next week.

A pattern change is still being tossed around by the models around the 10th, with the potential for wetter weather during that period. The latest GFS model thinks we could see an arctic front around that time, but as usual, I don’t take the GFS very seriously that many days out…you’ll have plenty of warning from me if an arctic front does look likely!
