While somewhat impressive looking on water vapor imagery, a TUTT low (Tropical Upper Tropospheric Trough) is spinning over us today, but only delivering some clouds and a few sprinkles. By Thursday, a low pressure attached to a dying cool front south of Alabama in the Gulf, will drift west and could possibly develop into a depression before heading north into Louisiana…like 93L did last week. Since this is still a few days out, we will keep an eye on it. As of right now, the NHC is not mentioning it and the only system they are talking about is a million miles out in the Atlantic and only has a 10% chance of strengthening.

Below are the latest model runs for potential rainfall through the end of the month and the longer range models through mid August.
