Great to see an active radar as of post time! Thanks to our slow moving front which is now in south Texas and moisture from the Pacific and the Gulf, we’ve seen some great rainfall totals of 1-4 inches across the Hill Country, San Antonio, Victoria, along the border and south of HWY 90 today. Storms are moving from west to east, but the entire system is slowly moving south and we should see more activity in south Texas as the day progresses. Here’s what the NWS is saying: “Locally heavy rain possible across portions of the southern Edwards Plateau, Rio Grande, and coastal plains for the rest of this afternoon. Localized flooding possible. Dry conditions return on Monday across most areas of south central Texas with drier weather forecast for the rest of the work week.”
Here is a link to 24hr rainfall totals across south-central Texas as of 10am this morning: IEM :: PNS from NWS EWX
My rain gauge in Helotes has recorded over an inch and a half over the past 24hrs and more is falling as I work on this post. How much rain has fallen at your place and where?
