A murky, humid and hot day for most of our area as high clouds from the SW cover our smoke filled skies. As of post time, the heat index is ranging from the upper 90’s to over 105 degrees and our air quality (thanks to agricultural burning in Mexico and Central America) is in the moderate to unhealthy for sensitive groups. While there is a tiny chance for some afternoon storms for the northern Hill Country, most of us will stay on the dry side through Wednesday. On Wednesday, a dying cool front will sag into south Texas before going poof on Thursday. We will see another tiny chance for rain on Thursday, thanks to NW flow aloft. By Friday, rain odds go poof as our ever popular Hell High builds in for the weekend.

The models and the CPC continue to hint at a rain event around the 27th. I’ve included the models that extend that far out below.
