Rain odds looking good for the Hill Country today…

8-2-25. 2:45pm. This Update is brought to you by Sedley's Grass Fed Beef. Sedley's Grass Fed Beef is a family-owned farm to table beef cattle operation located in western Gonzales County roughly 50 miles east of San Antonio and 70 miles south of Austin. www.sedleysgrassfedbeef.com

Radar is lighting up nicely this afternoon in the Hill Country as our cool front has moved further south than forecast (we’ve heard that before!). While I don’t anticipate it dropping much further south than A Del Rio to Austin line before going stationary again, it is giving the atmosphere enough lift to produce more scattered storms through sunset…some of which may move south of HWY 90 and into the northern counties of the coastal plains.

There will be a slight chance for more scattered storms on Sunday, but by Monday, high pressure will move back into our area, dropping our rain odds to nearly zero for the rest of next week. The models are looking more active as we move into mid-August, but none are forecasting any tropical storms in our vicinity as of today.
