Deep south Texas saw some decent rain totals on Sunday, with Hebbronville and Falfurrias recording over an inch of rain! As of post time there are some pm poppers north of Victoria, in and around Houston and way down in the LRGV. A TUTT low is currently in the Gulf, moving eastward and eventually into northern Mexico. This is a very weak system that will kick up some more pm poppers over the next couple of days along the coast, coastal plains and deep south Texas. The latest models don’t show very high rain totals, with most areas getting less than a half of an inch of rain.
For the rest of the month, nothing to get excited about. I’m posting the latest long-range models and the CPC’s forecast for July. Based on what I’m seeing, unless we get a tropical system, July looks to be about average for rainfall, which is typically 2 inches and under for most locations, except for along the coast and far SE counties.
