It’s been a busy morning for much of the Hill Country and our western counties, as storms have been forming and reforming over that area. As of post time, I’m seeing quite a few locations that have recorded between 1-3 inches and it’s not over yet! The NWS has just issued a mesoscale precipitation update for this afternoon and there is a large area that could see flooding rains, including counties to the south and east that have seen little to no rain so far today. This will be scattered, so as usual, there will be rain lottery winners and losers.
While today is our best odds for seeing some heavier rain totals, rain chances will continue through next week, as high pressure stays to our west, which is actually a good thing for the west, as monsoon season will finally ramp up!
