While things could certainly change, so far, this summer is starting to remind me of 2007, where high pressure never really got a choke-hold of south-central and south Texas and rain was in the forecast almost every day that summer! Once again we are seeing scattered storms along the coast, coastal plains and the eastern counties of south-central Texas. As of post time, Travis County is in a Flood Advisory.
Saharan dust will make a return tomorrow through Friday, along with diminished chances for rain. An inverted trough moves into the NW Gulf this weekend, chasing away the dust and bringing back chances for afternoon scattered tropical downpours again. Beyond the weekend, high pressure will try to build into our area, drying us out for at least a week.
I’ll have a drought and lake level update tomorrow!
If any of these storms park over your backyard, let us know where and how much rain you get!
