While tropical storm Barry won’t have time to develop into anything more powerful over the next 24hrs, it is actually sending additional moisture into Texas, thanks to its outer bands this afternoon. This additional moisture is sparking quite a few scattered storms in south Texas, moving NW towards south-central Texas. While many of these will go poof, a few may go as far NW as an Eagle Pass to San Antonio to Austin line.

Tomorrow the rain shifts more west as the remnants of Barry move NW into Mexico. On Wednesday and Thursday disturbances in Mexico will increase rain odds for our western counties, with continued sea breeze storms forming along the coast and coastal plains. By this weekend, high pressure moves in and most areas will see a rise in temperatures and almost zero rain odds.
