An early post today because I’ll be out of the office this afternoon. Some great morning lows for south-central Texas with lots of 50’s in the Hill Country and 60’s in other spots. For south Texas, most temperatures were in the lower 70’s with a few upper 60’s thrown into the mix. We will see similar lows over the weekend and highs in the upper 80’s to low 90’s. Temperatures will rise a little next week, but as of post time, I don’t see a return to upper 90’s and 100’s like this past week.

As for rain, our odds are not looking promising, with all of the models forecasting either very little or zero totals through the first week of October.

The tropics are certainly getting active, but only one storm (94L) has a chance for impacting the USA. It is forecast to become a depression over the weekend and could move into the Carolinas by early next week, potentially dropping a lot of rainfall for that area.
