I know it seems like we continue to kick the can further down the road when it comes to finding a real pattern change, but it is looking more promising that we will see our first decent front of the season around the 24th or 25th. Until then, look for more highs in the upper 80’s to low 90’s and lows in the 60’s and 70’s. A wimpy front will push through this weekend, giving us a tiny chance for rain and possibly knocking our temperatures down by a couple of degrees.

Unless something very surprising happens, it would appear that this could be the first time in ten years that a hurricane has not struck the mainland USA. As we have talked about in past posts, one of the reasons our area is in a terrible drought has been due to the lack of any storms hitting south Texas over the past few years. While no one wants to see destruction from hurricane, they are important for delivering badly needed rain over drought stricken areas.
