Weakened high pressure over us and a remnant in our far western counties, will keep a chance for scattered storms in the forecast again today before we dry out from Wednesday-Friday. This weekend an inverted trough moves inland from the Gulf (not tropical) and will increase our rain odds for the weekend. These will be scattered, but potentially heavy showers and thunderstorms, so there will be rain lotter winners and losers. The good news is that as of today, our pattern should stay pretty active and more rain could be on the horizon for later next week.
Yesterday’s storms over the western hill country dropped ½ inch to over an inch for several locations. Hoping a PM popper finds your rain gauge this afternoon from some of the coastal plain storms that are showing up on radar.
