The Victoria area is today’s rain lottery winner with a cluster of storms impacting you guys as of post time. These storms are moving NNW, so hopefully Cuero and other nearby locations will see some rain as well. Crystal City was yesterday’s scattered storm winner with almost an inch of rain. We should see much less activity on Thursday before high pressure starts moving north, allowing for an inverted trough to impact our weather over the weekend. As high pressure vacations in the northern plains next week, look for daily chances for afternoon poppers since the high will not be capping our atmosphere as it normally does. Both the 6-10 and 8-14 day outlooks continue look promising with better than 50-50 odds for above normal precipitation.
