It’s Showtime!

6-9-25. 3:25pm. This Update is brought to you by Sedley's Grass Fed Beef. With stormy weather moving in this week, it’s a great time to place an order with our sponsor! Sedley's Grass Fed Beef is a family-owned farm to table beef cattle operation located in western Gonzales County roughly 50 miles east of San Antonio and 70 miles south of Austin. www.sedleysgrassfedbeef.com

A few of you in our northern counties caught some bonus rain this morning as dying storms dropped over an inch in Williamson and Burnet counties. We could see a Deja Vue storm system build up again tonight in west Texas and track on a similar path tomorrow morning. With NW flow in place, storms will generally be moving SE and east this week.

The latest HRRR model is forecasting a storm complex to develop tomorrow afternoon over Mexico and west Texas, heading east into our western counties, then eventually moving as far east as the coastal plains by early on early Wednesday. As a front and short wave approach our area on Wednesday, rain odds ramp up! Right now, models are slowing this short wave down, giving it more time to produce storms and the potential for heavy rain through Friday, and possibly into the weekend. As you will see in the graphics below, most of our area will have a chance for excessive rain from tomorrow through Friday.

While we could see some severe weather with the upcoming storms, they will be more “rain makers” than severe weather makers…a good thing!
