We could see more record highs broken Sunday-Tuesday before we finally see a potentially wet front on Thursday! A trough over the west coast (they are getting some flooding rains in SOCAL) and high pressure over us will switch our SE winds into the desert like SW tomorrow, allowing for us to heat up to the mid 80’s for south central Texas and upper 80’s to low 90’s for south Texas. On Thursday, the high over us moves east, replaced by the trough that has been over the west. The big question is how far to the south the trough digs into Texas…this will determine how far south decent rain totals will wind up. As I have mentioned most of this week, south central Texas has much better odds for 1/2-2 inch rain totals than south Texas, but the latest models are starting to bring the rain further south with every run.

Long-range outlooks from the CPC, GFS and Euro models continue to look bullish for a wet ending to November…fingers are crossed! I’m still not seeing any artic outbreaks in any of the model runs as of today.

I think flying my weather blimp over Kyle field in the second half may have helped the Aggies score 27 unanswered points as they beat South Carolina 31-30! AI by Mark
