If we can bear the unseasonable heat for a few more days, the weather gods will hopefully reward us with a wet front! As of 3pm, I’m seeing a lot of 90’s in the northern Hill Country and south Texas….certainly untypical for mid-November, when highs are supposed to be in the upper 60’s to low 70’s. A chance for records to be broken today through Wednesday.
By Wednesday afternoon, rain enters the picture ahead of our next cool front and low pressure. As of today, exactly when the front moves through is still a moving target, but most of the models bring it Into our area some time on Thursday. Best odds for rain will be late Wednesday through Thursday. I’m also seeing rain chances continuing through the weekend, so let’s keep our fingers crossed. As always, how far south the best rain totals go will depend on how far south the low pressure tracks. As of today, the best odds for rain the the higher totals continue to stay along and north of HWY 90 and I-10 East.
Over the past 24hrs I’m starting to see the models thinking we could see some arctic air around Thanksgiving. The latest Euro thinks arctic front my enter the state on Black Friday…I’ll continue to keep an eye on this!
