Yet another unseasonably warm day out there with most locations in the 80’s as of post time. For the record, the after high for this time of the year in the mid 60’s and average lows should be the mid 40’s. As of post time, still no signs of arctic air impacting us for the next two weeks.
Our low pressure that has been parked over the Baja for the past few days, will finally start moving our direction over the next 24hrs. We will see a chance for rain starting tomorrow night, then ending by mid-day on Wednesday. Our second chance for rain comes on Friday night and early Saturday, as a wimpy front moves through. If you find a tenth of an inch in your rain gauge from both systems, consider yourself lucky! I’ve thrown in the longer range runs below from the GFS and Euro through the 24th, and there is some hope we will see additional rainfall during that time frame. Unfortunately, none of the long-range models are predicting a wide-spread rain event anytime soon.
