After a very active early morning, things are pretty calm in our area at the moment. A shortwave in NW Texas will drop south over the next few hours, with the potential for some scattered severe storms to form to our north, then drift south. There is currently a Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued until 10pm for the Hill Country and our northern counties. At this time, I don’t see any big storms moving much further south than San Antonio. Hail, high winds and even tornadoes are possible with any severe storms that do develop.

More scattered activity tomorrow, then a slight boost to our rain odds on Friday as a wimpy front moves through, potentially triggering some scattered storms. Another chance for scattered storms on Saturday, then we dry out for Sunday. The latest model runs are looking bullish for another decent rain event later next week…we will look into that tomorrow!

As always, tune to your local NOAA radio station or make sure your emergency apps are on so that you can receive local warnings for your location!
