A warm and fairly humid day out there with most locations in the upper 70’s and 80’s. An approaching trough over Mexico is heading our way, along with a cool front tomorrow afternoon. The combo will give us a chance for showers overnight, then a chance for severe storms tomorrow afternoon as the front pushes through. Please make sure your emergency apps or your NOAA weather radio are turned on just in case. Hail and high winds will be the biggest threat. While there will be a chance for severe weather, most of the activity and rain will stay along and north of a line from Del Rio to San Antonio to Houston. As noted yesterday, the very best rains will stay in north and east Texas, with just scraps for most of our area.
A slight cool down for Sunday and Monday, with lows in the 40’s and highs in the 70’s before we warm back up into the 80’s by Tuesday through the rest of next week. Our next chance for rain comes in about 10 days and the latest CPC forecast confirms that in their 8-14 outlook.
