As expected, Tropical storm Edouard dropped a lot of rain in east Texas and is producing a few scattered poppers today around Austin and La Grange. There were some rain lottery winners yesterday in DeWitt and Victoria counties, but almost all of our area did not benefit from Edouard.

Nothing brewing in the Atlantic, but the Pacific continues to be very active with three storms. Eventually, as we transition into fall, the subtropical jet stream will send some of the Pacific moisture our direction. The latest GFS model continues to forecast a wet cool front around the 15th and it may be the first sign of what could be a rainy fall and winter, thanks to El Niño. Stay tuned!
