Waiting for our next chance for rain…

7-29-25. 3pm. This Update is brought to you by Sedley's Grass Fed Beef. If inverted troughs in the Gulf make you hungry, then quickly get on your computer and order some grass fed beef today! Sedley's Grass Fed Beef is a family-owned farm to table beef cattle operation located in western Gonzales County roughly 50 miles east of San Antonio and 70 miles south of Austin. www.sedleysgrassfedbeef.com

While a much advertised cool front is not expected to move any further south than Waco on Friday, it could produce some storms that will form along outflow boundaries, then drift south into our area on Friday and Saturday. Obviously, the further north and east you live, the better your odds are for rain. Any storms that do form will be scattered and rainfall coverage will be limited as you will see on the most recent model runs. If we get lucky and the front moves further south than forecast, then rainfall odds will increase for us!

By next week it’s back to waiting to see if the tropics become active. The latest long-range models are not bullish for any tropical storms to impact the Gulf through the middle of August.
