Sea breeze storms will be on the increase…

8-10-25. 3pm. Perfect weather for a BBQ! This Update is brought to you by Sedley's Grass Fed Beef. An inverted trough will keep a slight chance for pm poppers in the forecast over the next few days, with greater odds along the coast and coastal plains. 2:30pm radar shows some storms occurring in and near the coast as I work on this post. Most rain totals have been under a tenth, with only one location in Goliad County reporting 0.32 inches.

We could see a hurricane develop in the Atlantic this week, but none of the models are sending this potential storm to the Gulf. We will continue to monitor the tropics for future threats, but as of today, none are brewing.

Long-range models continue to look promising for better rain odds between the 20th and the 25th, but likely just due to high pressure breaking down and allowing for more sea breeze activity.
