I was surprised to see how low temperatures fell overnight, with quite a few locations in the Hill Country seeing their first freeze of the season! Even mid 30’s were relatively common over western counties in south Texas. Speaking of south Texas, there continues to be a Red Flag warning for your area through 10pm this evening.
Look for perfect trick or treating weather tomorrow night with temperatures in the 50’s and 60’s at sunset.
A backdoor front will move through on Saturday night, giving our northeastern and eastern counties a tiny chance for a tiny bit of rain. As I mentioned yesterday, if you record a tenth of an inch or more, consider yourself lucky. This will be a booster front that will keep our lows in the 40’s and 50’s and highs mainly in the 70’s through most of next week.
High pressure will rule through the first half of the month, then we could see a positive pattern change for the second half of the month. I have three of the latest long-range models posted below and they are all bullish for wetter weather.
