After yesterday’s record highs in the upper 80’s and low 90’s it’s hard to believe that even after the passage of a cool front, we’re still in the upper 70’s and 80’s today in early January! Look for continued above normal temperatures this week with almost zero odds for rain through the first workweek of the year. While the GFS and Euro models are forecasting a decent rain event starting next weekend, the NBM and the Canadian models are not nearly as optimistic. On the plus side, all of the models are forecasting a decent front next weekend, with lows returning to the 30’s and 40’s and highs in the 40’s and 50’s by the week of the 11th.

I noticed that cedar pollen counts have ramped up to over 16,000 today in San Antonio. I feel sorry for all of you who suffer from this evil pollen! Below is a link to a video I shot from my backyard in late in 2010 when our cedar trees were exploding!
