Drought and Seasonal Outlook

Another beautiful day out there with temperatures in the upper 70’s and low 80’s. The heater gets turned on tomorrow as most locations will be back into the 90’s on Friday. Saturday and Sunday will be our hottest days with highs in the mid 90’s to possibly some low 100’s along the border. While we stay very warm for March, temperatures do drop a little lower next week with the addition of some humidity and a few clouds. Rain odds continue to be nearly zero over the next 7 days, but the models still think we could see a pattern change by the end of the month.

Below is the latest depressing drought update and yearly rainfall totals. The latest CPC outlook for April and for the next six months was just posted and I have the graphics below. Believe it or not our area is in the green zone for April…let’s hope the CPC gets it right!
